Maria and Carl welcomed us warmly and made us feel like a part of their family – which is something I never grow tired of! We spent the morning perfecting high-fives with the guys and exploring Maria’s childhood home with the girls! We selected a really cool trunk to take the detail shots on, only to find out that it’s a trunk her grandparents brought over from Sicily on a boat! The meanings ran deep like that all day, making it all that much more special!
The look on Carl’s face when he saw Maria at their first look said it all! He was in love and he couldn’t believe that this beautiful woman was about to become his wife! After exchanging vows, at All Saints Catholic Church, we spent some time together taking pictures at Little Turtle Waterway and I have to say their bridal party was awesome! No one complained about how extremely hot it was (90+!) that day, making my job so much easier!
At the reception (at Angie’s Catering and Cakes) we learned about how Maria’s dad had (a very inadvertent) hand in these two meeting, we saw a new level of support from their friends and family like no other (seriously…everyone cheered when they cut the cake as if Marilyn Monroe had just popped out of it! If that’s not support, I don’t know what is!), and we saw just how perfectly suited Maria and Carl are for one another (See their first dance images below – that look? That’s what we call love)!
It truly means the world to me that I was the lucky photographer you chose to document your love. Wishing you a wonderful lifetime of happiness and great moments!
