Urban Exploration

I have a brand new obsession that began last week – I went Urban Exploring in Gary, IN. While I only touched a very small part of it, I got a taste of something that I loved. I did a ballerina shoot in the old City Methodist Church that cost around $1 million to build back in the 1920’s. It has been abandoned since around 1970, and has had a few fires. Being in this building only intrigued my wonder and made my imagination go wild with what Church used to look in it’s heyday. To me, it is still a beautiful church, that I wish could have been saved and remodeled. Here are some images from my adventures. If you’d like to see more, please go here !

I hope by now, you know from postings elsewhere, just how much these photos are loved by everyone that sees them! The contrast of the color and beauty to the washed out ruins is so amazing and well captured. All caught on a cold winter’s day…ReplyCancel
